The Truth About Discontinued Snacks

What happened to your childhood favorites, what was saved, and what is still in production.

Are Drake's Yankee Doodles discontinued? +
No. Drake's still bakes Yankee Doodles, the chocolate cupcakes with a creme filling. Production of every Drake's line stopped for a while when Hostess, which then owned Drake's, shut down in 2012, and McKee Foods brought the brand back after buying it. If your local store does not carry them, that is regional distribution, not discontinuation. We stock Yankee Doodles in 8-count boxes, along with Devil Dogs, Yodels and Ring Dings.
Can you still buy Hostess Banana Twins? +
No. Hostess Banana Twins, the banana snack cakes, are no longer made, and Hostess has not brought them back. The closest thing on shelves today is Hostess Banana Twinkies, Twinkies with banana creme, which we stock in 10-count boxes and in Twinkie variety packs.
Are Hostess Chocodiles discontinued? +
Yes. Chocodiles, Hostess's chocolate-coated Twinkies, are no longer made and were not part of the lineup Hostess brought back after its 2012 shutdown. For the same chocolate-and-creme fix, try Hostess Chocolate Twinkies or Ding Dongs, both in stock in our Hostess variety packs.
Does Hostess still make 100-Calorie packs? +
Yes, some. Hostess still bakes Snack Size 100 Calorie Mini Fruit Pies in apple and cherry, which we stock by the box. The 100-calorie mini cupcake and coffee cake pouches are much harder to find; individually wrapped Hostess Donettes are the closest single-serve alternative.
Can you still buy 90s candy and discontinued sweets online? +
Yes! Many iconic treats that disappeared from supermarket shelves—including Hubba Bubba Bubble Tape, Cry Baby Extra Sour Bubble Gum, Candy Buttons, Necco Wafers, Charleston Chew, and classic Ring Pops—are still produced. Tribeca Curations curates authentic, fresh inventory shipped directly from our New York warehouse.
How are discontinued and hard-to-find snacks shipped? +
All snack orders from Tribeca Curations are carefully packed in our climate-controlled warehouse in Hauppauge, New York and shipped fresh with free standard US shipping on every order.
